Parshas Behaalosecha - Whenever the Jews had to travel in the midbar, trumpets were blown.


Parshas Behaalosecha -In the desert, the Jewish nation complained that they lacked meat. Hashem sent slav - in huge flocks, they had so much it was piled all over. As a punishment, it rotted and caused a terrible plague

Parshas Naso


Explanation 
During the inauguration of the Mishkan, each Nasi (prince) of each tribe brought the same sacrifices. for 12 days
 1 silver bowl weighing 130 shekels with flour & oil
1 silver basin of seventy shekels, with flour & oil
1 golden ladle full of incense;
1 bull, 1 ram & 1 he-lamb for a burnt-offering;
1 male goat for a sin-offering;
2 cattle for a peace-offerings,
5 rams, 5 he-goats, 5 he-lambs of the first year. 


Technique: 
I made vanilla cupcakes. 
Rams

  1. Cut a large marshmellow in half and stick on using white frosting
  2. Using star frosting attachment cover cupcake with big stars
  3. Cut chocolate sandwich cookies to make horns
  4. Use tops of candy corns for ears
  5. Attach small mint candies for eyes
  6. Use melted chocolate to draw eyes and Mouth
Lambs

  1. Cut a large marshmellow in half and stick on using white frosting
  2. Using star frosting attachment cover cupcake with little stars


      1. Use tops of candy corns for ears
  3. Attach small mint candies for eyes
  4. Use melted chocolate to draw eyes and Mouth
Bulls

  1. Cut a large marshmellow in half and stick on using white frosting
  2. Frost cupcake with white frosting
  3. Use can of chocolate frosting to make horns
  4. Use melted chocolate to draw spots
  5. Use frosting to make ears
  6. Attach small mint candies for eyes
  7. Use melted chocolate to draw eyes and Mouth
Goats
  1. Cut a large marshmellow in quarters and stick on using white frosting
  2. Using petal frosting tip, frost cupcake white
  3. Use animal cracker legs to make horns. 
  4. Use frosting bag to make beard and ears
    1. Attach small mint candies for eyes
  5. Use melted chocolate to draw eyes and Mouth

Parshas Bamidbar

Reuven - red flag with dudaim, flowers he gave his mother.
Shimon - green with city of Shechem
Levi -1/3 white, black and red. with Choshen breastplate of the Kohain Gadol.
Yehuda -t'cheile with lion, the symbol of royalty
Yissachar - black with sun and moon
Zevulun - white with a ship
Dan - A blue flag with a serpent
Gad - black and white thread with a troop of soldiers
Naftali - wine colored with a deer
Asher - pearl with an olive tree
Ephraim - A black flag with a young bull
Menashe - Also a black flag with a wild ox
Binyamin - colors of all the other tribes with a wolf







Parshas Bamidbar - the camp in the Desert.
Center - Mishkan
Next camp - Leviim
3rd camp - Yisrael

East - Moshe, Aharon and Aharon's sons.
South - Kehas
West - Gershon
North - Merari
.
The third camp is called Machaneh Yisroel. with three tribes per side.
East - Yehuda, Yissachar and Zevulun.
South - Reuven, Gad and Shimon.
West - Ephraim, Binyamin and Menashe.
North - Dan, Asher and Naftali.



Technique - Made a cookie on a stick recipe - coated with Wilton icing. and then drew on outlines with edible markers. Painted with food coloring.

Parshios Bhar-Bchukosai



Explanation: Every 7 years in Israel is a shemitta year. Farmers may not work the ground, but must let anything that grows be "hefker" or ownerless. 


Technique: My kids were sick of duncan hines, so I made a chocolate yeast cake this week. The green is "glace icing" and the flowers are made from piped royal icing (homemade :) ) The desk, sign & hoe are made from piped chocolate.
