Explanation: Every 7 years in Israel is a shemitta year. Farmers may not work the ground, but must let anything that grows be "hefker" or ownerless. 

Technique: My kids were sick of duncan hines, so I made a chocolate yeast cake this week. The green is "glace icing" and the flowers are made from piped royal icing (homemade :) ) The desk, sign & hoe are made from piped chocolate.
